The Harbor Springs Festival of the Book is a three-day gathering of nationally known presenters with Festival attendees for a celebration of books, and the stories that make them great. This annual literary event will take place in Harbor Springs, Michigan September 29 - October 1, 2017.
Each year highly renowned presenters will be invited to town for the weekend festival, which will be attended by locals, as well as, people from across the country. The presenters will spend time with local school students, sit on diverse panels, give readings and keynote addresses, and much more. Readers and writers of all ages and abilities will experience the art of language and the many ways we learn and grow from it.
Throughout the Festival, Harbor Springs will share its rich well of history, culture, and citizens along with the natural draw of the beauty of this region.
How to Get Involved
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, we are seeking monetary donations to help us fund the festival. Your generous donations are used to fund presenter housing and transportation, to secure venues, and to defray the overall costs of the festival so that our guests can attend most events for free. Donations are tax deductible and a great opportunity for corporate sponsors to connect their names to a highly anticipated cultural event.
