Perspectives on the Female Voice

  • Harbor Springs History Museum 378 E. Main Street (map)

Presenters: Angie Kim, Rebecca Lehmann, Jasmine Warga
Moderator: Ellen Shanman

The women of this country currently find themselves in the swirl of a sea change, and the tide has only begun to rise. From young girls to the matriarchal generations before them, the voices, experiences and perspectives of women are nuanced and distinct, yet rally together with a universality full of rage, power and hope. Addressing the many facets of being female in our world today—mother, daughter, sister, caregiver, domestic, immigrant, oppressed—our panelists present three books that exemplify the dichotomy of both softness and strength that resides in all women.
