This year, we are honored to welcome celebrated and iconic cartoonist Roz Chast as our 2026 keynote speaker. Immediately recognizable from the fidgety handlettering to the palpable anxiety of her characters, Roz’s cartoons have graced the pages of The New Yorker since 1978. And they’ve been making us groan and guffaw with an uncanny observational acuity ever since. From her blissfully unaware free-range chickens to her entirely self-aware role as caregiver to elderly parents, Roz’s subjects hold universal appeal in a universe of people increasingly staring into the void. Come on . . . what isn’t funny about that?
Presenter: Roz Chast
